Jerry was born in a small town in Virginia, and comes from humble, hardworking folk. Since, he has been very fortunate to have traveled extensively for work, living in and exploring Asia for several years, and then Europe for over five years. Those years of traveling fueled his imagination through the experiences had and things learned of other peoples and cultures. He is now retired and exploring the literary world. Jerry was always an avid reader, some might say, bookworm. History, genealogy, historical thrillers, and historical fiction are his literary passion, though he admits he will read anything he can get his hands on, especially the classics. In 2021, he published the ancestry of his grandfather. As he tells it, the book was the product of a mild interest that turned into a hobby, which then became a quest, resulting in years of research and study to record the ancestry of the Owens family of Virginia, starting with Eustace Conway Owens, grandfather to the author. The further back in time his research carried him the more interesting the facts and stories became. He was inspired and began expanding on those stories, and wrote a historical fiction fantasy novel based on what he discovered during twenty years of research. His love of history, research and telling the tales led to a love of writing. That is how Jerry became an author, and now one book has turned into three non-fiction books, and one historical fiction fantasy book with plans for seven more books in the 'Memories of The First King' series.
